"A woman without makeup is like food without salt"( Plaut 254-184 B.C.)
People's concern for beauty and their desire to be attractive is attested in all existing documents of all times, even thousands of years before. Noting that land creatures are used among other things, and their color to survive, man has tried to find ways to merge with nature and to adapt to the environment . So, he began to color the face and body with care and refinement.

People of ancient Egypt have followed these habits but in a more refined style, manufacturing containers and utensils by precious materials. Egyptians had a cult of beauty and cleanliness of the body. They used many kinds of oils to protect skin from the effects of the hot rays of sun and the sand storms. Women scented their bath, combed their hair, braided and scented it, painted their face, making meticulous makeup with its famous Khol or kohol, black colour on the upper eyelid and malachite green colour on the bottom, giving the eyes a special shine. Lips were not forgotten too, coloring them with crayons as lipsticks.
They even care their gums chewing certain products . It is said that the first beauty textbook was written by Cleopatra, who discovered the native form of ointment. Over time, the Egyptian habit of using make-up has entered a worldwide, cosmetics conquering the Mediterranean, ancient Greece and even Asia Minor. It had been born a true addiction, women using different substances even though some of them were very toxic and sometimes they led to death. In Italy, especially Rome, they used large quantities of ointments and cosmetics. Ovid (43 BC - 16 AD) even published a code of coquetry, "Ovid's cosmetics", a second recipe of cosmetic products, after Cleopatra's. After the fall of the Roman Empire, only in some cities, cosmetics were still used (Venice, Genoa, Florence), thereby continuing the Italian art.
Christianity has enjoyed the use of cosmetic products with their bringing in the East by the crusaders. In England, during the reign of Charles II and in France at the court of Louis XV, people used a lot of makeup, drew black moles on his face, powdered his hair and wore wigs. This usually took a long time, nearly two centuries. Over the years, they have taken positions against the use of cosmetics. Without success. People evolved and cosmetics were performing well. In the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, physicians, especially those from France, took position, separating officially the cosmetology from medicine.
In the nineteenth century with the development of modern chemistry, cosmetology experiences a true revolution, benefiting from the new formula, made by scientific methods. It is taught as an upper level study, for the first time in 1895. Cosmetic science is expanding at high speed after 1922, being taught in technical and medical education. Nowadays cosmetics are used in the preparation of both natural substances and synthetic substances, pure and qualitative. Biochemists constantly try to find new formulas, more efficient, in order to control the skin metabolism.
MAKE-UP. WHAT MAKE-UP MEANS?
First of all we can say that makeup is the art of to hide skin
imperfections and highlights the beautiful features of face. Makeup, or
decorative cosmetics, has a special role if we want to be beautiful, to
feel good with ourself and to be cheerful during the day or (why not)
during a night. You should not neglect the fact that a self-confident
person with a beautiful face, is more successful in interpersonal
relationships, inspires more confidence, gives a good impression at work
and makes friends easily. There is a saying: “What is beautiful God
loves too.”

I have heard many women say that "makeup breaks the
skin”, which is totally unfounded given that, especially nowadays,
products used in makeup are enhanced with nutrients, moisturizers and
even sunscreen that protects skin from the aggression factors: dust,
wind, pollution and so on.
Makeup not damaged the skin but unsuitable products and not removing
and not cleansing the skin in the evening, before bedtime.
Skin cleansing not only helps to regenerate skin but those ordinary
and gentle movements, properly executed, will replace benefactor facial
massage which stimulates production of collagen and, to be honest, we do
not always have time to do this or we do not feel like doing this.
There are no ugly women! Every woman has something to put in
value: lips, eyes, hair, skin, enjoyable face shape and more. Try to
discover yourself, each of you have something unique: a glance, a smile
...
Trust yourself and your face will radiate without you realize. First of
all, beauty comes from inside.
The most difficult makeup is ... you can believe it? ... natural makeup,
which should be invisible. The image must be decorated, pleasant
features should be highlighted, fatigue transformed into a radiant smile
and bright ... How can we achieve this without coming to surgery?
Simply, with a well done makeup.
